Courses in English for Erasmus students - general information

Students get always enrolled in and assigned to one of DAMU Departments, depending on their specialisation or focus. A tutor from the department is their mentor and he/she prepares a project for them. Students receive 12 credits for the project and its completion is compulsory.

In addition to the project, students attend courses at the Department, again according to their specialisation or focus. These courses are not included in the basic Erasmus schedule for all Erasmus students!

Additionally, students can (but are not required to) attend courses included in the basic Erasmus schedule for all Erasmus students. This is a typical Winter Semester schedule:

Teaching period: beginning of October – Christmas
Exam period: beginning of January – mid-February

Highlights of Czech Theatre: 2 credits
Dialogical Acting with the Inner Partner: 3 credits
Acrobatics: 1 credit
Music Activity: 1 credit

Czech language: 1 credit
Puppet Animation: 2 credits
Various sports and fitness classes (swimming, power yoga, tap dance, tai chi, etc.): 1 credit each

This is the basic Erasmus Summer Semester schedule:

Specific discipline courses:

Students can attend classes not included in the basic Erasmus schedule at the respective DAMU Departments according to their admission.

In some cases it is possible that DAMU Erasmus students attend some of the courses at FAMU and HAMU. However, such admission is not automatic and has to be agreed upon individually.

Students are required to complete all the assigned projects before their departure. It is the tutor, not the student, who determines that the project has been completed. Please keep this in mind when planning your departure date.
