ELECTION OF THE DAMU OMBUDSPERSON

The Dean of DAMU, in accordance with Article 15 of the Decree of the Dean of DAMU 1/2024 and following the announcement of the relevant selection procedure, announces the election of the DAMU Ombudsperson.

The election of the ombudsperson will take place electronically via an electoral application. 

Start of elections: 5 March 2024  

End of the election: 6 March 2024  

The Ombudsman is elected by academic staff recruited on the basis of a selection procedure, students enrolled in a study programme implemented by DAMU and other employees in an employment relationship with DAMU (hereinafter referred to as "THP staff"). Each voter may vote only once, even if the student is also an academic staff member or a THP staff member, or an academic staff member is also a THP staff member. 

The election commission appointed by the Dean of the DAMU on 15 January 2024 supervises the proper conduct of the election and announces the election results. Mgr. Marek Bečka (chairman), MgA. Jan Jiřík, Ph.D. and Karolína Kubešová.  

The list of candidates will be published by the Election Commission no later than five days before the election. Candidates will be presented during the assembly of the academic community and DAMU staff in ds DISK on 28 February 2024 at 5:00 pm.  

The candidate who receives the highest number of votes shall be nominated by the Ombudsperson. In the event of a tie vote, a random draw shall be used to decide between the candidates who received the same number of votes. If only one candidate takes part in the election, he/she shall be nominated as ombudsman if he/she receives a simple majority of all valid votes cast.
