Irena Dubail

Irena Dubail, M.F.A. is a graduated of the Department of Authorial Creativity and Pedagogy DAMU, Prague. She´s been practicing the main subject Interacting With the Inner Partner for more than 10 years (as a student, researcher and for 5 years as a teacher). She completed a six-month exchange studies (The Erasmus Programme) in Finland at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki. She was involved in a two-year theater-anthropological project called "Having a Body, Being a Body” with the final performance “The Common body/ Corpus vulgaris" integrating people with various types of physical, mental and social handicaps. The central theme of the project was the human body: how we perceive it and our relationship to it. She worked as a drama coach of mentally disabled clients of a civic association Pohoda. Irena also works as a medical clown - Zdravotní klaun, o.p.s.; Red Noses International – regularly visiting the children´s and geriatrics departments. She attends many clown workshops led by domestic and foreign artists, social workers and doctors.  Irena is a member of Emergency smile clown team – she and her clown colleagues performed as and worked as drama coaches with children from Syria, Iraq and Yemen in the refugee camps and host communities in Jordan (two times 3 weeks). She is a part of several projects at DAMU – Interacting with the Inner Partner for Erasmus students, The Prague Summer Theatre School, The Creative Pedagogy - Pedagogic Condition. Irena also attended many workshops led by domestic and foreign teachers - focused on rhythms, body percussion, African drumming, pantomime, children´s drama, voice and singing.
